How do I switch off S mode?

Switching out of S mode is free of charge and allows you to install apps from outside the Microsoft Store. Please note that this is a one-way transformation; once you switch out, you cannot go back to S mode.

Step-by-Step Instructions

On your PC running Windows 10 in S mode, open Settings.
Navigate to Update & Security > Activation.
Find the section titled Switch to Windows 10 Home or Switch to Windows 10 Pro (the name will vary depending on your current edition).
Select the Go to the Store link.
On the Switch out of S mode page that appears in the Microsoft Store, select the Get button.

Once you see a confirmation message on the page, you will be able to install apps from any source.
